21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

Join us for 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting at Mercy Hill
September 6-27, 2020

We’re taking 21 Days in September (6th through the 27th) to pray and fast for our church, our city, our country and for the body of Christ as a whole. What we need most in this time right now is God alone and we need to make room in our lives for Him to speak and lead us. That’s why we take time to pray (to make time for Him) and to fast (to give up things in our lives that take away from our focus on Him).
We are believing for breakthroughs for our church body, for our church and in our city and state.

Here is a prayer point for each day that we’ll be praying about together:

What I’m fasting for these 21 days: _______________________

Day 1 – Prayer at church on September 6th for our body and this time of prayer & fasting.  Take time yourself today to pray and write down what you are fasting during this time and to write down what you’re expecting from Him during this time.

Day 2 – Today we’re praying for our Leaders (Nation – President Trump, State – Governor Walz and City – Mayor Norton and the rest of the leadership in our country)

Day 3 – Today we are praying for the pastors of our church – Pastor Fred & Kelly Shirley, our youth pastors Pastor Patrick & Jocelyn and our children’s pastors Jon & Tammy Wetenkamp.

Day 4 – Our cities – Rochester, Eyota, Pine Island, Cannon Falls, Byron, Oronoco, Kasson, Stewartville and local missions in these cities. That we would be a light in our communities.

Day 5 – Our Nation – for revival in America and to break the spirit of fear in our country.

Day 6 – Our World – for our international missionaries and for the Word of God to be preached and heard all over the world.  To pray for those that need to know Jesus – for the lost to be “found” in Him.  (September 11)

Day 7 – Our Schools – for the students, teachers, administrators and parents to lead well in this school year, to be strengthened, for grace and for their safety and healing no matter where they are learning.

Day 8 – Pray Psalm 139:23 today: “God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares.”

Day 9 – Our digital reach – our radio station KNLW (98.9 FM), our YouTube channel, Facebook page and Instagram. We are able to reach people with the life-saving message of the gospel like never before – we believe that every song, every message and every service REACHES people with the life and love of God right where they’re at.

Day 10 – Today we’re praying for the marriages and families of Mercy Hill.

Day 11 – Today we’re praying for the finances of the church, for the land to be paid off and for God’s plan for the 52 acres. We also pray for the finances of every family that attends MHC – they’re blessed, they’re faithful givers and God blesses everything they set their hand to.

Day 12 – Today we’re praying for people to be in their “place” at Mercy Hill. God has given each of us gifts and talents to use within the church body and we want people to find their “place”.

Day 13 – Pray 1 Chronicles 4:10 (The Prayer of Jabez) over you, your household and Mercy Hill.

Day 14September 19th – we invite you to join us for a special “All Church Prayer” held in the parking lot of Mercy Hill at 10 am. Adults & children are invited. We’ll take time to pray for one another’s prayer needs, pray over the church property and to pray for Rochester. We hope to see you there!

Day 15 – Today at church we’ll pray for peace in our city and in our country. For God’s will to be done and for protection for those that help and guard us. Please join us in person or online.

Day 16 – Today we’re praying for our youth and those that are in college to continue to grow in their knowledge of who God is, having a hunger for His Word and to truly know God as their Father.

Day 17 – Today pray for your personal freedom and deliverance – we believe or breakthrough in every area!

Day 18 – Pray Luke 11:1-4 (The Lord’s Prayer) and take time to study and pray over each point of the verse.

Day 19 – Today we’ll pray for the leaders in our lives – our church leadership and the Father’s in our church. For them to lead their marriages and families well and in a godly manner and the wisdom to lead well.

Day 20 – Pray for yourself today. It’s not selfish, it’s actually what God wants. Philippians 4:6 says to let your requests be made known to God. No thought is too small or insignificant to bring to Him.

Day 21 – Spend this last day worshipping God, thanking Him for this time this month to see and hear Him more clearly.

Day 22 – Sunday, September 27th: Testimony & praise service at church. Come ready to celebrate & share!

The Love Confessions

LOVE:
The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost which is given unto me.  Therefore:
I am a love person.
I endure long and am patient and kind.
I am never envious nor do I boil over with jealousy.
I am not boastful or vain glorious.
I do not display myself haughtily.
I am not conceited, arrogant or inflated with pride.
I am not rude (unmannerly).
I do not act unbecomingly.
I do not insist on my own rights or my own way.
I am not self seeking.
I am not touchy or fretful or resentful.
I take no account of evil done to me.
I pay no attention to a suffered wrong.
I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoice when right and truth prevails.
I bear up under anything and everything that comes.
I am ready to believe the best of every person.
My hopes are fadeless under all circumstances.
I endure everything (without weakening).
I never fail.
I have great peace because I love thy law: and nothing shall offend me.
Because…The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost which is given unto me.
I Corinthians 13:4-8; Romans 5:5; Psalms 119:165

Healing Confessions

God’s word is medicine to us!

God declares that His Word will not return to Him void. We are to return His Word by giving voice to it, and He will create the fruit of our lips. Confessing God’s Word is a way you can fellowship with the Lord and increase your faith at the same time.

I challenge you to affirm these scriptural confessions audibly three times a day. Don’t let it become a hit and miss proposition. Make it a practice to take God’s medicine on a regular basis, just as you would any other medicine. Then it will be LIFE to you and HEALTH to your flesh.

These verses are to be spoken by mouth three times a day until faith comes, then once a day to maintain faith. If circumstances grow worse, double the dosage. There are no harmful side effects.

Note: These are not direct quotations from the Bible; they are paraphrased confessions based on the Scriptures under them.

  1. Jesus is the Lord of my life. Sickness and disease have no power over me. I am forgiven and free from SIN AND GUILT. I am dead to sin and alive unto righteousness (Col. 1:21-22).

  1. I am FREE from unforgiveness and strife. I forgive others as Christ has forgiven me, for the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost (Matt. 6:12; Rom. 5:5).

  1. Jesus bore my sins in His Body on the tree; therefore I am dead to sin and alive unto God and by His stripes I am healed and made whole (1 Peter 2:24; Rom. 6:11; 2 Cor. 5:21).

  1. Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pain. Therefore I give no place to sickness or pain. For God sent His Word and healed me (Ps. 107:20).

  1. Father, because of Your Word I am an overcomer. I overcome the world, the flesh and the devil, by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony (1 John 4:4; Rev. 12:11).

  1. You have given me abundant life. I receive that life through Your Word and it flows to every organ of my body bringing healing and health (John 10:10; John 6:63).

  1. Heavenly Father, I attend to Your Word. I incline my ears to Your sayings. I will not let them depart from my eyes. I keep them in the midst of my heart, for they are life and healing to all my flesh (Prov. 4:20-22).

  1. As God was with Moses, so is He with me. My eyes are not dim; neither are my natural forces abated. Blessed are my eyes for they see and my ears, for they hear (Deut. 34:7).

  1. No evil will befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. For you have given your angels charge over me. They keep me in all my ways. In my pathway are life, healing and health (Ps. 91:10-11; Prov. 12:28).

  1. Jesus took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. Therefore I refuse to allow sickness to dominate my body. The Life of God flows within me bringing healing to every fiber of my being (Matt. 8:17; John 6:63).

  1. I am redeemed from the curse. Galatians 3:13 is flowing in my blood stream. It flows to every cell of my body, restoring life and health (Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6).

  1. The life of 1 Peter 2:24 is a reality in my flesh, restoring every cell of my body.

  1. I present my body to God for it is the temple of the living God. God dwells in me and His life permeates my spirit, soul and body so that I am filled with the fullness of God daily (Rom. 12:1-2; John 14:20).

  1. My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. I make a demand on my body to release the right chemicals. My body is in perfect chemical balance. My pancreas secretes the proper amount of insulin for life and health (1 Cor. 6:19).

  1. Heavenly Father, through Your Word You have imparted Your life to me. That life restores my body with every breath I breathe and every word I speak (John 6:65; Mark 11:23).

  1. That which God has not planted is dissolved and rooted out of my body in Jesus’ name. First Peter 2:24 is engrafted into every fiber of my being and I am alive with the life of God (Mark 11:23; John 6:63).
